Tualatin Valley Bike Hubs

Last year, a group of cycling proponents from around the region gathered to identify and cataloged the “best of the best” road and gravel cycling routes in Washington County and southern Columbia County. Fifteen routes–suited to attract bicycle tourists from around the globe–were identified, and routes were created on Ride With GPS and the Tualatin Valley website.

With routes identified, the second phase of the project launched the development of a “Bike Hub” program, stops that provide cyclists with amenities and information about the area. Amenities include:

  • Branded community sign
  • Bike racks
  • Bike pump
  • Public work standBike Hub signage
  • Bench
  • Picnic table
  • Printed map and information
  • Restrooms
  • Shelter
  • Nearby drinking water
  • Nearby food/drink for purchase
  • Solar USB charger

(Note: Not all amenities are available at every location)

As of today, most of the 13 Bike Hubs have been installed:

  • Banks-Vernonia State Trail
  • Banks Trailhead
  • Buxton Trailhead
  • Manning Trailhead
  • Vernonia Trailhead
  • Downtown North Plains
  • Fernhill Wetlands
  • Gaston Lake Stop Grocery
  • Downtown Hillsboro
  • Henry Hagg Lake
  • Park Entrance
  • Elks Recreation Area
  • C-Ramp Recreation Area
