Tualatin River

The Tualatin River is a tributary of the Willamette River that runs through Oregon’s Washington County. This calm, meandering river is a popular water way for kayaking and canoeing, as well as for birding and wildlife viewing. Hikers can access the river’s spectacular Ki-a-Kuts Falls, which is only accessible through a rugged hike through forests.

The Tualatin is the perfect river to introduce recreational kayaking and canoeing to beginners, as well as a nice river for a leisurely paddle for experts. This peaceful, meandering river moves slowly, making it as easy to paddle upstream as it is to paddle downstream.
