Go Beer Tasting in Hillsboro
Sample the tastes of Tualatin Valley and spend the afternoon craft beer tasting at Hillsboro’s premier breweries. Set in an industrial area close to the hotel, visit one or both of the following breweries:
- Vertigo Brewing Company: Vertigo Brewing operates a seven-barrel system that produces a unique blend of beer offerings. In the taproom, enjoy a variety of beer styles, from the light Razz Wheat to a hoppy IPA.
- Three Mugs Brewing: Three Mugs Brewing Company has 20 taps, including the brewery’s own beers and guest taps. Gluten-free drinkers will appreciate the cider options.
Dine at Cornelius Pass Roadhouse & Imbrie Hall
Venture to McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse & Imbrie Hall, located on a pioneer homestead settled in the 1850s. This site features a rustic atmosphere where visitors can enjoy a hearty dinner and sample McMenamins’ ales, wines and spirits.

Enjoy brunch at La Provence Boulangerie & Patisserie
La Provence overlooks a serene pond and offers a satisfying selection of French-inspired breakfasts. Fresh French breads, pastries and sweet treats are baked on-site. Before a day of wine tasting, indulge in a sampling flight of sipping chocolate, which includes several stunning varieties of chocolate.
Progressive Wine Tasting and Tour at Ponzi Vineyards Winery
Take part in a progressive wine tour and explore Ponzi’s state-of-the-art, gravity-flow winery. Sample Ponzi wines as you visit each state of production. Ponzi Vineyards is internationally acclaimed for producing some of the world’s finest, limited production Italian-style wines.

Situated in the central Tualatin Valley are several world-class wineries. Visit one of all of these wineries for a taste of the valley.
- Blizzard Wines: Visit Blizzard Wines new tasting room. Wine tasters can expect delicate Pinot Noirs that are made from the winery’s own estate, as well as big reds using grapes from Eastern Washington.
- Oak Knoll: As of Oregon’s pioneering wineries, Oak Knoll started producing fruit wines in 1970. Today, Oak Knoll produces a range of varietals, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Muller Thurgau, Syrah and its signature raspberry wine, Frambrosia.
- Árdíri Winery and Vineyards: Located in the heart of the Chehalem Mountains AVA, Árdíri specializes in Willamette Valley and Napa Valley Pinot Noir. The open-air facility boasts a cozy patio, fireplace and fire pits, to create a “destination” winery where guests are encouraged to relax and linger.
- Dion Vineyards: For more than 30 years, three generations have grown premium Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay in Dion’s 60-acre vineyard. Dion’s grapes are used by a variety of wineries throughout Oregon, as well as in its own estate wines.

Breakfast at Longbottom Coffee & Tea
Longbottom Coffee & Tea is the Tualatin Valley’s premier organic roasting company. Its organic roasting facility was one of the first coffee roasters in the United States to be certified organic, and is a testing site for the Independent Organic Inspectors Association. The breakfast menu features a variety of options—ranging from pastries to traditional breakfast—prepared with local ingredients.

The Smithsonian-affiliated Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals houses a world-class collection recognized as the finest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the best in the nation. The museum showcases rocks and minerals, fossils, meteorites, lapidary art, and gemstones from around the world.
Learn about Tualatin Valley history at the Five Oaks Museum
Discover the rich, diverse history and heritage of northwestern Oregon at the Washington County Museum. Educational exhibits include artifacts from the Oregon Trail, the history of the Kalapuya Native Americans, and the Bracero Program, which brought farm workers to the region during World War II.

The Tualatin Valley is home to two professional theatre companies. Broadway Rose Theatre Company stages a variety of productions, from well-known musicals to toe-tapping revues. Bag&Baggage Productions is known for its provocative take on Shakespearean and classic stage plays.
