Things to do on a Rainy Day in Tualatin Valley

Rain is in the forecast and we are super stoked to see the return of rain! While we never let a little rain stop us from enjoying the great outdoors, we understand the need to flock to some of our indoor attractions. Plan one of these fun outings and see that Oregon’s Tualatin Valley has something to offer no matter the weather.

Axe Throwing

Book a private axe throwing party at Stickmen Brewing’s Tualatin Beer Hall. Celtic Axe Throwers offers an authentic and professional experience, using wooden-handled axes and targets that reduce bounce back. Axe throwing is fun, safe and perfect for small get-togethers like team building, or bachelor/bachelorette parties. While you’re there, don’t miss out on Stickmen’s wide selection of craft beer and delicious wood-fired pizza. Book here >>>

Escape Rooms

Escape Rooms are back and Tualatin Valley is home to several with fun and unique themes for any small group. You have to work together to solve puzzles and riddles and try to “escape” the room in under one hour. Immerse yourself in a wizard’s lair, test your nerves at a space academy or escape an arcade where you’ve been trapped. More on escape rooms >>>

Board Games

Senet Game Bar in Tigard is the perfect place for board game lovers who also love cocktails. The bar has a library of games to chose from to play while you enjoy their signature cocktails like the “Chai Baby Old Fashioned” or “She Spicy.” Or head to one of Tualatin Valley’s game shops to pick something up to play at home. Aptly named Rainy Day Games has a huge selection of games and puzzles.

Tea Party

Get fancy with a high tea at Mamancy Tea and Chocolates. Certified tea sommelier and chocolatier Anne Johnson has created a luxury experience including unlimited hot tea, savory sandwiches and sweet treats. This fun idea is perfect for a sweet date or outing with family.

Hit Some Golf Balls

If golfing is your thing but wet greens aren’t, head to Topgolf and hit balls in comfort. Topgolf is a lot like bowling, with different game options and everything you’ll need provided. Order some tasty food and drinks and enjoy the climate controlled bays any time of year.

Play Indoors

Langer’s Entertainment Center is like being outside in almost every way except that it’s not. The logging themed fun zone is inspired by the Langer family history of clearing forest land in Sherwood and six generations of farming. You can climb a nearly 50-foot rock wall, traverse a 56-foot high ropes course with 21 different challenges and sit around an 8-foot campfire right in the middle of everything. There’s also a bowling alley, laser tag, arcade, soft play area for kids and lots of food and drink options.
