Two-Day Itinerary


U-pick & Tour of Hoffman Farm Store
Taste more of the freshness of the Tualatin Valley at Hoffman Farms and Farm Store. Run by first-generation farmers since 1983, Hoffman Farms offers an assortment of berries for u-pick, as well as ready- picked produce.

Lunch at South Store Café
Have lunch, a snack, or a refreshing cold beverage at the South Store Café, an historic landmark housed in a century-old clapboard building. In addition to a full coffee bar, the South Store Café offers an array of pastries, sandwiches, homemade soups and lunches all made fresh.

U-pick and Farm Store Visit at Smith Berry Barn
After a quick nosh, cross the street to Smith Berry Barn, and go into the field to pick berries or select farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, specialty herbs and perennials, hanging baskets, and more from the Garden Store. Step inside the historic barn and browse the selection of gourmet food products, distinctive gifts, kitchen goods, candles and teas. Cap off the visit with a coffee drink made fresh at the espresso bar, or satisfy a berry craving with a milkshake made with fruit fresh from the farm.

Tour Mountainside Lavender Farm
For a change of pace, continue to the final stop, Mountainside Lavender, a family-run hillside farm with a view of the valley below, as well as Mount Hood and other majestic mountains of the Cascades. Mountainside offers more than 20 varieties of lavender in several summer-fresh colors. Pick your own lavender or buy lavender plants, dried bouquets, essential oil distilled at the farm and other lavender products.

Free Time  
Explore Forest Grove before dinner. Visit the city’s beverage-producing gems, Ridgewalker Brewing, Waltz Brewing and Bull Run Cider.

Dinner at Bites Restaurant
Located in the heart of downtown Forest Grove and just one block away from Pacific University, Bites offers surprising Asian fusion cuisine such as kimchi fries, nachos with shrimp tempura and udon carbonara. Bites is committed to using local ingredients, as well as serving beverages from their neighborhood breweries and wineries such as Waltz Brewing, SakéOne, David Hill Winery and Oak Knoll Winery.

Breakfast and Tour at Unger Farms
Pick your own, or taste the already picked berries at Unger Farms, and treat yourself to a berry breakfast at the farm store’s Berry Café, which is chock-full of locally produced goodies.

U-pick and tour at Jossy Farms
Travel to Jossy Farms and pick peaches and pears at this family-run farm. Best to visit in late-summer and early fall, this u-pick farm boasts several varieties of peaches, including Red Havens, Starfire, Blazing Star, Vivids and Veterans. In the fall, Gravenstein apples and Red Clapp and Bartlett pears are available.
